Yoga Classes:

  • Yoga classes are designed to decrease tension in the body and increase flexibility and strength.
  • Each class begins a time of centering and breath, preparing the body and mind for physical practice.
  • We then begin to move the body through a combination of poses, stretching and strengthening while surrounding every movement with breath.
  • Poses are broken down individually with an emphasis on alignment and increasing body awareness in the postures.  A combination of static and flow poses are instructed.  The static poses are held for 3-6 breaths.  Flow poses are a sequence of movement linked with the flow of the breath.  The emphasis of the physical practice will be to move through the poses while maintaining ease and grace in the breath, resulting in a more restored and relaxed body, mind and soul.
  • Our final relaxation is a time of quiet reflection, absorbing the benefits of the movement and breath.

Class Option Availability:

Intro to Yoga – Learn the basics of yoga, where movements are broken down individually.  Students will learn the basic alignment of postures and the difficulty is geared to individuals that are new to yoga.

Flow – This class is a vinyasa style yoga practice, where sequences of movements are linked with the flow of breath.  Using postures introduced at the Intro level, students will be instructed to move through the poses at a faster pace, with less ques and more challenging variations of poses.

Relax & Unwind Gentle Yoga – Full relaxation is the aim of this class.  It’s a great practice if you are looking to de-stress or recover from an injury.  Poses are held longer to restore the body through stretching and deeper breathing.  Yoga props are used to facilitate a deeper relaxation and aromatherapy is offered in the final resting pose.


Slow & Go – This practice contains two elements to the class:  the beginning half of the class is the Go portion, which is a fast paced, energetic flow.  The Slow part of the class slows the pace down and moves the body into longer held poses, aiming to lengthen connective tissues as you stretch.
