Gentle Yoga
- Yoga classes are designed to decrease tension in the body and increase flexibility and strength.
- Each class begins a time of centering and breath, preparing the body and mind for physical practice.
- We then begin to move the body through a combination of poses, stretching and strengthening while surrounding every movement with breath.
- Poses are broken down individually with an emphasis on alignment and increasing body awareness in the postures. A combination of static and flow poses are instructed. The static poses are held for 3-6 breaths. Flow poses are a sequence of movement linked with the flow of the breath. The emphasis of the physical practice will be to move through the poses while maintaining ease and grace in the breath, resulting in a more restored and relaxed body, mind and soul.
- Our final relaxation is a time of quiet reflection, absorbing the benefits of the movement and breath.

Heart & Soul Yoga is to deepen your connection to Christ, offering an opportunity to believers and non-believers, to connect with God. Each class integrates His Word, and the physical practice of yoga with quiet christian instrumental music.

In our class we become still and quiet, making room to hear Him by disengaging from the constant inundation of life. We meditate on His Word and receive guidance for His Will in our lives.
